Susan Maisel, MD

maisel_susan.jpgDr. Maisel is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition. She received her medical degree from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. She also completed an internship and residency at the University of New Mexico Hospital, and a fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Medical Center.

Elizabeth Schaefer, MD

Elizabeth_schaefer.jpgDr. Schaefer is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Louisville, KY, and her pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition fellowship at the Indiana University Medical Center.  Dr. Schaefer is board-certified in pediatric gastroenterology and general pediatrics.

Sheela Deivanayagam, MD

sheela-deivanayagan--MD.jpgDr. Deivanayagam is a graduate of Madras Medical College, University of Madras, Chennai (Madras), India. She completed her MRCP (pediatrics) at Royal College of London, UK.  She completed her pediatric residencies at the Institute of Child Health, Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai, India, and at Washington University School of Medicine in St Louis. She completed her Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition Fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine in St Louis. She has special interests in obesity, pediatric nutrition, Celiac disease, and Inflammatory Bowel disease.

Dr. Deivanayagam is an established physician and has published multiple research articles in peer-reviewed journals, textbook chapters, as well as having contributed abstracts and presentations at a number of professional association meetings.


Cheryl Little, MD


cheryl-little-md--ped-gastro.jpg Dr. Little is a graduate of the Medical University of Ohio in Toledo, OH.  She completed both her internship and residency in pediatrics at the Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco, CA.  She completed her Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.   She is board certified and has special interests in pediatric gastroenterology, liver disease, nutrition, and functional GI disorders.
 
Dr. Little has published multiple research articles in peer-reviewed journals, textbook chapters, as well as having contributed abstracts and conducted lectures and teachings at a number of professional association meetings.

Dr. Little is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease; North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition; and the American Academy of Pediatrics.


Eric Tibesar, MD


Eric-Tibesar..Pedi-Gastro.jpg Dr. Tibesar is a graduate of the Carver College of Medicine at The University of Iowa.  He completed his pediatric residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN .   He completed his Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD.   He has special interests in esophageal reflux, food allergies and nutrition.

Dr. Tibesar has published multiple research articles in peer-reviewed journals, textbook chapters, as well as having contributed oral presentations at a number of professional association meetings.

Dr. Tibesar is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Medical Association; American Academy of Pediatrics; North American Society for Pediatrics Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition; American Gastroenterological Association; and the American College of Gastroenterology.


Kelly Batthauer, RN, MSN, CPNP

 

kelly-batthauer-cpnp-peds-gastro.jpgKelly is a board certified (PNCB) Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.  She is a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington, IN where she obtained her BSN.  She is also a graduate of IUPUI in Indianapolis, IN where she obtained her MSN.  She worked as an RN until 2004 at IU Health, Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine, and Pediatric Gastroenterology Associates of Indiana.  After obtaining her MSN in 2004, she worked as a Nurse Practitioner here at PMCH Pediatric Gastroenterology.  She is Pediatric Advanced Life Support certified and is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.




Margaret “Meg” Parker, BS Ed, RN, MSN, CPNP

 

meg-parker-NP-ped-gastro.jpgMeg is a board certified (PNCB) Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.  She is a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington, IN where she obtained her BS Ed.  She is also a graduate of Indiana University in Indianapolis, IN where she obtained her ASN and MSN.  She worked as an RN until 2008 at Methodist Hospital, St Vincent Children’s Hospital, and Pediatric Gastroenterology Associates of Indiana. After obtaining her MSN in 2008, she worked as a Nurse Practitioner at Western Arizona Regional Medical Center in Bullhead City, AZ and here at PMCH Pediatric Gastroenterology.   She is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and the past Treasurer for NAPNAP.



Kirsten Cook, RN, MSN, CPNP

 

kirsten-cook--cpnp.jpgKirsten is a graduate of Indiana University where she obtained her BSN and MSN.  She is a board certified Pediatric Nurse Practicioner who also worked for several years as a RN at Riley Children’s Hospital and Community Hospital North.  She has special interests that include Inflammatory Bowel Disease, infants with failure to thrive, and children with feeding problems.





Katherine Sonnenburg, RN, MSN, CPNP


Katie-sonnenburg-ped-gastro.jpgKatherine is a board certified (PNCB) Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.  She is a graduate of Purdue University in Lafayette, IN where she obtained her BSN and MSN.  She worked as an RN for several years at Riley Children’s Hospital.  After obtaining her MSN in 2013, she began work as a Nurse Practitioner here at PMCH Pediatric Gastroenterology.  She has contributed oral presentations at professional conferences.  She is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners as well as the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners Indiana Chapter.
