The neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at St.Vincent Women’s Hospital, Indianapolis offers the largest Level IV NICU in the state of Indiana. St.Vincent Carmel Hospital has a Level III NICU. These neonatologists and the NICU staff works closely with Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital pediatric specialists in more than 40 disciplines.

These St.Vincent NICUs are well-equipped to help a baby with complex medical needs. The multidisciplinary approach at St.Vincent means we aim to identify mothers and babies at risk and then be well-prepared to deliver comprehensive care for the entire family. For more information click here.

St.Vincent and PMCH coordinate ground and air transport for newborns (and children of all ages) from throughout Indiana and surrounding states. These services may also apply to a women who is pregnant and need emergent care because of fetal distress.
